The Blues Project will be at Lincoln Center Out of Doors on July 24th — for FREE, and featuring new choreography to a newly-added original song by Toshi Reagon.
Let’s take it outside.
The Blues Project
Dorrance Dance with Toshi Reagon and BIGLovely
Damrosch Park, Lincoln Center Out of Doors
Friday July 24, 8:30pm
FREE Created by Michelle Dorrance, Derick K. Grant, Toshi Reagon, and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards
We had an incredible time earlier this month performing The Blues Project at Jacob’s Pillow, where it premiered in 2013. Now we’re so excited to bring this show outside to Damrosch Park, an awesome open-air venue at Lincoln Center. Even more exciting? We’re adding a brand-new song to the show. The amazing Toshi Reagon wrote more music for The Blues Project than was included in the original version, and Michelle, Derick, and Dormeshia have created a new dance to one of those songs.
We hope you’ll join us next week for a full evening at Lincoln Center Out of Doors, including a set by Toshi Reagon and BIGLovely starting at 7:30pm!
No reservations required. Join the event on Facebook to let friends know you’re going.
